2024 WNBA Free Agency Updates
Teams Make Roster Moves
The 2024 WNBA free agency period is officially underway, and teams have already begun making moves to improve their rosters. The New York Liberty have been one of the most active teams so far, signing All-Star guard Natasha Cloud and forward Sami Whitcomb.
The defending champion Las Vegas Aces have also made some key additions, signing All-Star forward Nneka Ogwumike and center Liz Cambage. The Aces are now considered one of the favorites to win the championship again this year.
Tracking Free Agents
There are still a number of top free agents available, including Breanna Stewart, Brittney Griner, and Elena Delle Donne. Stewart is widely considered the best player in the WNBA, and she is expected to sign a max contract with a contender.
Griner is another All-Star who is still available. She is coming off a season in which she averaged 20.5 points and 9.5 rebounds per game. Delle Donne is a two-time MVP who has been hampered by injuries in recent years.
